FOOTBALL: Fresh from a snatch and grab effort against the Brisbane Roar Youth side, the Sunshine Coast Fire are eyeing off another upset.
Having clawed their way to seventh, the Fire will face third-placed Redlands in Round 6 of the NPL Queensland at Sunshine Coast Stadium this Sunday.
Young Fire skipper Grant De Chastel (pictured) said the mood had been "really good" at training this week after the surprise 1-0 victory against the professional Roar outfit.
"We're keen for the weekend," De Chastel said.
"The league's pretty tight at the moment. Every result can put you up or put you down pretty fast."
The midfielder said his side was playing each game like a grand final, and was determined not to make too bold a prediction.
"The boys are really stoked with Sam's (coach Sam Saif) training," he said.
"I don't think we're looking to say a top-four finish or anything like that yet."
De Chastel said the young Fire squad was looking forward to playing in front of what he hoped would be another strong crowd and said he was looking forward to carrying out the game plan Saif had prepared for Sunday.
