"It's important because we don't want to come off a two-week break and lose at home," Cutters' coach Kim Williams said.
"It'd be a shame after the start to not continue playing well."
The Stadium Mackay game kicks off at 1.40pm and will be shown on Channel 9.
"It's a bit of a break to the normal routine of Saturday evening (matches)," Williams said. "The boys like playing on TV so there is no reason to think they won't be riled up and ready to go."
The Cutters will have had three weeks off since their last match, a 26-24 loss away to PNG Hunters.
Some players enjoyed the time off while Tyson Martin (PNG Kumuls) and Michael Sio (Samoa) played international matches.
"From a club perspective we were really proud of the two boys," Williams said.
Sio will miss Sunday's match with personal commitments in New Zealand.
"A few of the group were injured and wouldn't have played the week after (the Hunters match) so the rest came at a good time," Williams said.
Some Cutters played in the Auscoal Super Cup during the bye and representative round weeks.
Moranbah's Zack Walker returns from an ankle injury suffered in his Cutters debut.
The defensively strong winger replaces Buchanan Rawhiti in the side. Backrow pair Kelvin Nielsen and Chris Gesch have recovered from injuries in time to play.
