Brothers Sunshine Coast junior rugby club has announced that one of the region’s largest construction and development companies Vantage Holdings Australia has become the major sponsors of the club for the next two years. Brother’s Junior Rugby Sunshine Coast spokesperson Clayton Williams said he was delighted with the firm’s $30,000 two year commitment which would ensure the future of the fledgling club. “Brothers Rugby have only been on the Sunshine Coast for the past few years and in that time we have had an incredible amount of growth fielding teams in most of the junior grades as well as securing major sponsors and support from coaches like former Reds and Wallabies great John Connelly.

“Our clubhouse is one of the best in the competition with new change rooms, toilets, kiosk, storeroom, match official and first aid rooms. It’s these type of facilities which helps to attracts players and their parents to the club,” Mr Williams said.

Vantage Holdings Australia director Glenn Carmichael said he was pleased to be able to support Brothers in their quest to provide outstanding facilities for local rugby players.

“I’ve been involved with Brothers Rugby with my fellow director Shane O’Brien for the past few years and we are really pleased with the progress of the club both on and off the field. There’s a great culture around the club and it’s being created by people who understand the Brothers ethos which is based around participation, sportsmanship and community. To have around 200 local children playing each weekend is also really satisfying because we know they are getting outside playing sport, keeping fit and also learning about teamwork and leadership,” Mr Carmichael said.

Brothers Sunshine Coast Junior Rugby will be holding their annual sign on day on Saturday February 8th from 9am until midday at Stockland Park. New and old players are required for Under 6 through to Under 18 teams with girls able to play up to Under 11. Mr Williams said Brothers Rugby registration fees are the most affordable on the Sunshine Coast and would remain the same as last year and includes shorts, socks, training tees and water bottles. Discounts are available for siblings.
