SUNSHINE Coast Falcons veteran and ex-captain Callum Klein has been dropped from the team to face Tweed Heads on Saturday despite playing in Sunday's 36-10 thrashing of the PNG Hunters.
A solid match from Klein that included a try was not enough for him to retain his spot. He has been replaced at centre by Hymel Hunt, who played strongly in the back row for the Coast side against the Hunters.
Coach Glen Dreger has made several other changes to the side, which played almost 80 minutes of flawless football against the visitors.
Travis Robinson will switch from the wing to fullback, with Young Tonumaipea moving from fullback to the flank.
Billy Brittain has been elevated from the bench to hooker to replace the Melbourne Storm's Slade Griffin, who has been ruled out with a knee injury.
Former New South Wales and Australian representative Tom Learoyd-Lahrs has been installed into the run-on side from the bench despite dropping the ball three times against the Hunters, with John Platt relegated to the interchange.
Workhorse Jay Lobwein has been recalled to the bench.
The Falcons sit in second-last position on the ladder but will have gained confidence after dominating PNG - one of the best teams in the competition.
