RUGBY LEAGUE: The Sunshine Coast Falcons roster has been boosted by a former NRL player and a talented up-and-comer.
The Intrust Super Cup outfit has signed former Panthers and Roosters rake Nafe Seluini and highly-rated youngster Ryley Jacks.
Seluini, 25, played 27 NRL games from 2011-2013 before linking with Burleigh. He was also a Junior Kiwi and has played six games for Tonga. He was also the best player in the New Zealand Warriors under-20 side in 2010, when it won the 2010 National Youth Championships.
Meanwhile, Jacks is a ball-player, who was with the Sydney Roosters under-20 side. He then played for Newtown in the New South Wales Cup and this year was with Burleigh in the Queensland league.
Their arrivals will bolster an already burgeoning roster, which includes the likes of hulking prop Ryan Hansen, ex-Storm under-20 prospect Logan Houghton, rising talent Rohan Messer and developing playmaker David Oakes. The club, which starts pre-season this month, also boasts established players Jordan Ryan, Callum Klein and Johnny Veutibau in its 27-man pre-season squad.
