WHAT a difference a fortnight can make.
Staring down the barrel of another season of disappointment on-field, the Sunshine Coast Falcons dug deep over the past two weeks to notch consecutive victories for the second time this season.
While there have been huge positives taken by the club off-field, including the three-year agreement with Melbourne Storm, sponsorships and key coaching acquisitions, it was always going to be a tough season on-field as combinations were ironed out and systems integrated.
The local lads and their Melbourne-based cohorts silenced a few critics with two solid wins against the CQ Capras then the Redcliffe Dolphins 28-12 last weekend, so hats off boys.
The Caloundra Sharks A-Grade lads will be disappointed after failing to fire in their Caloundra RSL Cup local derby with Kawana.
The Sharks were spanked 40-12 with both sides welcoming back Falcons fringe players for the clash.
