RUGBY LEAGUE: Rockhampton isn't best known for its white sandy beaches, but the locals will do their best to make the Falcons feel at home in their middle-of-the-pack clash against the Capras tonight.
The Central Queensland club has encouraged fans to come along to a beach-themed party at tonight's match.
But it will be no holiday for both sides, stinging after round five losses to Redcliffe and Easts respectively.
Falcons Coach Craig Ingebrigtsen was relentless on his troops this week.
Prop Ryan Hansen said it had been a tough week, but also said he was confident Ingebrigtsen had a plan.
The former captain has been there through the worst and best of times with the Falcons and said "you don't argue with the coach".
Capras coach Kim Williams also had some strong words for his side after their loss to Easts.
He also holds Ingebrigtsen in high-esteem.
"Sunshine Coast have one of the best coaches in the competition in Craig Ingebrigtsen, who I rate very highly," he said.
"They were good on the weekend, even though they lost, Redcliffe are a great side.
"It is going to be a similar game where they have good forwards and halves, they stack on edge with Storm players and are pretty dangerous all over the paddock.
"They have a couple of giants in their pack who we need to watch out for and their fullback Eddie Tautali scored a great solo try.
"In broken play he's a real danger."
The Falcons sit in seventh spot on the ladder, just one spot above CQ.
While Ingebrigtsen has said his side needed to be more "expansive" with the ball this weekend, the Capras Coach is looking to tighten the screws.
"We have a huge focus on defence. I'm not happy with the inconsistency and that was the case (last) weekend," Williams said.
"We will have a tough season and I am looking forward to seeing how the players respond to it. If a couple don't respond, well then I could make changes even this week."
The Falcons fly out of Maroochydore this morning.
